About Glassy Beads

Having always loved drawing, painting and making crafts, I put
all that aside to raise my two daughters, now talented artists
themselves.   After they left the nest it became apparent that I
needed to, once again, create for the sheer joy of it.

In 2005 the art of glass bead making (lampworking) found me.
My first experience was a week-long class with Nancy Tobey at
Snowfarm (.org) in Williamsburg, Massachusetts.  Nancy hooked
me, and since then I've taken classes from Sally Prasch, Larry
Scott, Cynthia Liebler Saari and Corina Tettinger.

In the fall of 2006 I had the good fortune to meet Nancy Niefield
of Two Spruce Pottery (www.twospruce.com) and the rest is
history.  Our studio/gallery is in re-vitalized Schenectady, New
York, on quaint little Jay Street (we're number 175) in the heart of
the downtown arts, shopping, and dining district and we heartily
invite you to come in and watch us work.

At this point I don't have one specific style... I'm enjoying the
freedom of expressing myself in many different ways.  I hope you
enjoy my beads as much as I do making them.

Necklaces are approximately 18 inches in length and findings are
either sterling silver or gold filled.
